Ivy Research

We work on hard problems in cryptography, AI, and privacy where giving people more capability shouldn’t come at the cost of their data.

What we work on

Ivy Research works at the intersection of cryptography, AI, and privacy. We build infrastructure for hard problems that already need solving — the kind where giving people more capability shouldn’t come at the cost of their data. ZK Email lets people prove things about their email without exposing it. Proteus and Screencap are AI systems being built with privacy as a core design goal. The systems we build need to run in production, hold up over time, and not disappear when a startup pivots.

Where we go next

We don’t chase trends. We pick complex problems that already need serious work — usually ones where cryptography, AI, and privacy meet, or where the infrastructure people depend on isn’t yet built. The shape of what we work on next follows what’s worth doing well. New collaborations are part of what’s coming.

How we work

ZK Email is supported by the Ethereum Foundation’s Privacy & Scaling Explorations group. The work we do tends to benefit from collaborators, and we look for them where the problem calls for them — building in the open makes that easier.

Where we’re going on open source

We’re committed to building in the open. ZK Email is MIT-licensed and lives in public repos today. Proteus and Screencap are still in active development; we’re working toward open-sourcing them as they reach the right shape. Open isn’t a marketing claim for us — it’s the direction we want our work to belong in.
